Terms

The terms for media companies that run a Buddy Bargin store, and for the people who buy from one.

Last updated October 16, 2026

These terms describe how Buddy Bargin works today. They are kept out of search results while they are reviewed.

What Buddy Bargin is

Buddy Bargin is a gift-certificate store a media company runs under its own name: a radio or TV station, a newspaper, a magazine, a digital publisher or an outdoor company. Local businesses trade for advertising and pay in certificates; the media company sells them to its audience on its store. Buddy Bargin is operated by Workflow Corporation.

Each store is the media company’s own. Its name leads, and Buddy Bargin appears as “powered by” in the footer and on every voucher.

For media companies

  • You are the seller. Buyers pay by card into your own Stripe account, and Stripe pays out to your bank on its schedule. You agree to Stripe’s terms when you connect.
  • Our fee is 15% of each sale, taken automatically at checkout. Stripe’s card fee is separate and is charged by Stripe to your account. There is no setup fee.
  • Your store lives at your market’s BuddyBargin.com address (for example twintiers.buddybargin.com), included. Running a store also means signing the Station Agreement in your store’s admin: a 24-month minimum that renews 12 months at a time unless either side gives 90 days’ notice. The pricing page has the details.
  • Every purchase is paid online. Until you connect Stripe, your store shows its deals but can’t sell them, and says checkout opens soon.
  • The deals you list must be real offers from businesses that agreed to them. You answer to your buyers for the deals on your store, and you set each deal’s fine print and expiry.

For buyers

When you buy a deal, you are buying from the media company whose store it is, not from Workflow Corporation. Its name is on the store and on your voucher.

  • Your voucher arrives on your phone the moment Stripe confirms the payment, with a code the business checks once at the counter.
  • Each voucher shows its expiry date and the deal’s fine print. Use it before it expires.
  • If a deal sells out while you are paying, the whole order is refunded automatically and you are told.
  • For a refund, ask the store. It can refund an order until a voucher from it has been used; a refunded voucher no longer works.

For local businesses

A business agrees its deal, its fine print and its limits with the media company. It redeems vouchers in its own portal by entering the code; a code works once, and a voucher bought online is already paid in full, so there is nothing to collect at the counter.
